Field Visit

Field Exposure Visit

Girls Count invites colleges and universities to collaborate with us to organise field visits for their students. The field visits will offer an opportunity for students to experience grassroots interventions firsthand, and provide a deeper understanding of gender issues and the efforts being made to address them. Students will learn how various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) drive change in communities, reverse deep-rooted discriminatory norms and practices, and work toward gender equality.

Through direct engagement with communities, students will learn about the diverse strategies, approaches, and efforts that are shaping behavioural, societal, and mindset shifts. They will better understand the real-world complexities of gender issues and learn how change is initiated and sustained at the grassroots level.

Moreover, field visits will serve as a learning tool that complements students’ academic knowledge, providing practical insights and hands-on experience that can enhance their professional development, particularly in the field of social work. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice and help students not only expand their knowledge but also cultivate skills that are essential for leadership in social change.
